Tom Waterworth – Intermediate Boys 800m CHAMPION 1:55.79 (1st in heat 1:54.73)
Tom was rewarded with his first National vest and will represent England at the Schools International Athletics Board (SIAB) competition in Scotland in two weeks’ time.
Sophie Bambridge – Senior Girls Long Jump 3rd BRONZE 6.02 w/s +2.3
Sophie’s six jumps were as follows:
5.88m (+2.6) – wind assisted club record
5.50m (+3.2)
5.67m (+3.9)
5.71m (+3.2)
6.02m (+2.3) – wind assisted club record
5.73m (+1.7) – Sophie’s only non-wind-assisted jump which beats Caroline Pearce’s 26-year-old club record of 5.68.
Moria Howard finished a creditable 4th place in the Inter Girls Triple Jump with a best of 11.08m.
In his first ESAA T&F champs. Oli Albone finished 10th in his 1500m heat (JB) with a time of 4:28.86.
