Below are a number of competitions that Hunts AC participate in.

County Open Development Meetings | Wed 22 May Wed 19 June Wed 17 July St Ives track | U11+ | Individual entry Speak to coach if interested | Track races are seeded by time. Therefore you run against athletes at a similar standard to yourself = great opportunity to get a new PB! Some matches include championship races such as the mile, 3k/5k. |
County Championships | Sat 11 May | U13+ | Individual entry Speak to coach if interested | All Track & Field events. Every athlete is encouraged to participate in the County Championships. |
Eastern Championships | Sat 29 June | U13+ | Individual entry Speak to coach if interested | Most Track & Field events available. Covers Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Lincolnshire |
South of England Championships | Individual entry Speak to coach if interested | Athletes need to achieve a qualification standard to enter this competition. | ||
England Athletics National Championships | Individual entry Speak to coach if interested | Athletes need to achieve a qualification standard to enter this competition. | ||
Club Championships | Spring/ Summer (See calendar for CC dates) | U11+ | Inform Wayne prior to each competition | Running, Jumping and Throwing events. Athletes compete against fellow club members in their age group. Points earned from each event plus bonus points for: League participation – 10 points per meet County champs – 10 points per event Eastern County Champs – 10 points for participating Tie breaker – number of personal bests set in calendar year up to the end of September Medals/ Plaques awarded at the end of the season. |
Schools Athletics Championships | Summer season | Yr7+ | School organised event | Athletes compete in a District competition organised by their school/area and can qualify for Counties- English Schools. (Have to meet a standard) Talk to a Sports teacher at school for more info on this. |
Sportshall | Winter Season | U11-U15 | Sarah Newman | Series of indoor events based on the outdoor disciplines e.g. Standing Long Jump, shot put and lap races including relays. Individual points added to overall team score. Athletes have the opportunity to represent the County if selected. |
Indoor Athletics | Winter season | U11+ | Individual entry Speak to coach if interested | 200m track. Races from 60m-3000m and some field events. From Open meets, Masters to National Standard Good opportunity for youngsters to compete in Pentathlon. |
