Frostbite League, Jubilee Park, 12 Mar 2023

Well done and thank you to the 60 Hunts AC juniors and seniors who took part in the final Frostbite League race of the year at Jubilee Park.

We won the double, taking the Junior and Senior team titles for the second year in a row and winning all Junior and Senior team races this season.  Our Juniors (albeit a different composition every year) have taken the team title for the past seven years and haven’t been outside the top three for the past 11 years.  Further, they have won a remarkable 32 team races in the past 36 starts while our Seniors have won the last 12 team races, have won six titles in the past 10 years and haven’t been outside the top three for the past 12 years.

Once again, we were blessed with the four individual winners. Noah Scott-Donkin and Becca Smith in the Juniors and Dave Hudson and Lucy Mapp in the Seniors.  Noah and Becca both contested the Inter-Counties Cross Country Championships the previous day, while Dave flew back from Japan just two days earlier (Tokyo Marathon 2:31:38 – 202nd of 27,953; 13th M40 of 5,026) with Lucy arriving back from Malaysia on Saturday, getting home just 13 hours before the Frostbite League race start.
