Cambridgeshire Schools XC Champs, King’s Ely, 10 Jan 2026

Derek reports: No fewer than 35 of our Juniors ran in the Cambridgeshire schools’ races at Ely on Saturday.

I remember being really pleased when we had 20 running in this for the first time a few years ago. I think we have 19 qualified for the next round, at the Anglian schools races this year!

This year’s performance included 4 medals too.

Iris Purser won the Junior girls despite being in the younger year of the category.

Moses Smith, and Alasdair Reddish, both won silver medals, in the Minor boys and Junior boys respectively.

Becca Smith got the bronze in the Inter girls’ race.

We could have 10 juniors make it through to the English Schools races this year. 🤞
