02/09/2017  National Masters Heptathlon Champs, Sheffield  details

Penny Butcher won silver in the W55 National Masters Heptathlon Championships in Sheffield with 4402 points, just 12 points from her personal best set in the European Masters Champs in Denmark this year. Penny improved her outdoor high jump personal best by 4 cms with a 1.34m clearance, just two centimetres from the club veteran's record. She went on to add 45 cms to her javelin PB with a throw of 18.55m. Penny finished 148 points behind the eventual winner but shared individual event honours as they both won three each with a further one tied. Penny's other events - 80m hurdles 16.03, shot putt 6.49m, 200m 34.68, long jump 3.97, 800m 2:59.36
