29/06/2008 National Junior League 3 - Cambridge details
Another day of strong winds greeted Athletes but at least the sun was shining instead of the usual rain. The match saw a large turnout of quality U20 Junior Athletes who despite conditions produced some solid performances. Hunts AC had 7 Club Juniors competing as Team Cambridgeshire finished 6th on 383 points and and are now =6th in the League on 10 points due to Athletes on GB duties and others cancelling at the last minute and leaving events empty. Team Manager Nigel Faben like many others cannot understand why so many are training and so few are competing. With the Top 5 reaching the NJL Final and 1 match to go at Eton, Team Cambridgeshire have enough quality Athletes to again qualify for the final - if they turn up.
